In April 2013, we launched the Vuleka - be wise Youth Centre 
The Youth Cetre is based in Eshowe Town at the basement of the Offices of Child Care SA. The main aim is to create a space for young people from the rural areas of Eshowe & Nkandla to develop themselves and have access to essential information, which will enable them to be economic independent. 

The Youth Centre is opend 05 days a week Monday - Friday from 08:00am to 16:00pm. During school holidays we open during weekends & public holidays.


Services available to Youth:

The Centre provides services to Adolescents and Youth out of school

For Adolescents the following is offered: 

  • Access to the Youth Centre computers (unlimited)
  • Free Wifi Internet
  • Career Guidance, through one on one session or group lessons
  • Online Applications for University or College Application, through CAO & other platforms
  • Assistant with bursary or study loans applications
  • Access to the Library
  • Youth also use the Centre for their Support groups or study groups meeting area
  • We scan / fax supporting documents to the institutions on behalf of the applicant to fast track the process


For Out of School Youth the following is offered:

  • Access to the Youth Centre computers (unlimited)
  • Free Wifi internet
  • Career Guidance, through one on one session
  • Assistance to develop a Resume/CV (we print 02 copies free once off)
  • Assistance to search for jobs online & make neccesary applications
  • Attend online course (bookings essential)
  • online applications for University or College Applications
  • Access to the Library
  • We encourage the Youth to create an Email address to enable them to use our scanner and upload their documents to be able to make Job applications online.
Achievements to date:
  • Over 250 Youth visits the Centre on Monthly basis to access services
  •  We have partnered with 35 High Schools, where we assist all their Matriculants to apply for Tertiary Education via the Youth Centre.
  • To date 897 applications have been processed through online system. each applicant has to engage on a Career Guidance session to ensure they understand the process and have made their choice of study. 
  • 100% Participation of beneficiaries. The Youth must do their own application and take responsibility, in cases where the person is computer iliterate we do offer assistance on condition they work with us on the application.
  • 27 Youth recieved full bursaries in various sectors
  • 02 Recieved the Department of Health Scholarship to study Medicine in Cuba
  • others have managed to access study loans, namesly NSFAS
